Over the past year, you have read my blogs about living purposely. All talk is futile unless you commit to living out the plans that God has for you. Living a life of purpose means you will be called to step out of your “comfort zone.” Stepping out of your comfort zone means you must face your fears and move beyond them. I once read that it takes courage to face your fears.

Well, I’m happy to say that I’ve met one of my fears and moved beyond it. I never considered myself a writer, either did I have the desire to write. But what God has planned for you has nothing to do with what you have considered or desire for your life. It is all about Him and not about you! When we allow God to transform our lives to become what He created us to be, we stand in awe of what He can do through an ordinary person like you and me. It’s all about surrendering ourselves to Him for the transformation process.

Romans 12:1-2 tells us, “So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you,” The Message: the Bible in contemporary language. This version of Romans 12:1-2 is written so we can place it in our culture today and understand it. When we live purposefully, we must “readily recognize what He wants from us and quickly respond to it.” Thus, the result for me of responding to what He wants from me is this 10-day devotional journal on purpose.

Discover the Path to Your Purpose Devotional is designed to start you on your path to purposeful living. My launch date for the devotional is October 1st! Will you watch and pray for me as I allow God to bring out the best of me, and continue to develop well-informed maturity in me? I’ll do the same for you!

Blessings and peace,
